I loved the symbolism in the refining journey each piece of sea glass goes through to transform itself. It completely surrenders to its conditions, the ocean, the waves it rides and the journey it takes. At the end of its journey, it comes out polished, refined and empowered to let its light shine. It is not defined by the storms it endured or the times of smooth sailing, but instead those experiences helped to refine and shape it into something more meaningful, more precious, powerful and beautiful.

The metaphor of the sea glass relates to all of us. We are all here on Earth to experience, learn and grow. I believe that we are here to become the person our Creator wants us to become. If we can learn to let go and surrender, our rough edges can become smoothed. We can become refined through our journey, and we can inspire others along their way.
